About the position

The Lead CSR/Teller at Fifth Third Bank is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while managing complex duties associated with customer service roles. This position requires independent judgment and accountability for risk management, ensuring a positive customer experience while adhering to bank policies and procedures. The role involves deepening customer relationships, collaborating with the Financial Center Manager, and training new staff, all within a supportive and ethical banking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions.
  • Deepen relationships with customers by understanding their needs and guiding them to appropriate financial solutions.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and follow up to resolve issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and adhere to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Center Manager to complete monthly cash counts and report FCA requests.
  • Perform daily office responsibilities to ensure efficient operation of the office.
  • Maintain accurate balancing records and assist others with outages as needed.
  • Stay updated on bank policies and financial center procedures.
  • Assist in training newly hired Customer Service Representatives.
  • Identify customer needs during interactions and refer them to Bankers and business partners for consultative conversations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Extensive cash handling experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures.
  • Ability to interact comfortably and confidently with the public.
  • Demonstrated initiative and sound judgment in decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Leadership qualities to act as a resource for customers and team members.
  • Flexibility in scheduling.
