As a Lead Customer Applications Engineer (Drilling Services) at Baker Hughes, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of well construction and production projects. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process, ensuring compliance and effective communication with clients. You will collaborate closely with the assigned Service Delivery Coordinator and Salesperson to fully understand the client's objectives and the commercial terms of the contract, whether it be outcome-based or line item contracts. Your expertise will be crucial in performing offset job analysis and conducting product/service-specific engineering modeling calculations to identify potential hazards and incidents associated with the application. In this role, you will work alongside various disciplines and stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the application and the proposed products/services are thoroughly considered. You will design comprehensive job programs that include risk mitigation and contingency plans, aimed at maximizing revenue potential while ensuring future job assignments for Baker Hughes. Communication will be key, as you will need to relay any risks of not meeting client objectives through the appropriate channels. Accurate documentation of calculations, simulations, and plan revisions will be essential for visibility and audit purposes throughout the project cycles. You will also provide on-demand support in accordance with the product portfolio or on-call schedule during job execution. A critical part of your role will involve comparing the planned job against the executed job, documenting lessons learned, and developing recommendations for continuous improvement. Additionally, you will participate in incident investigations, ensuring that the entire process from job planning to execution is considered when determining root causes and corrective actions. Your insights will also contribute to product improvement opportunities, particularly for repetitive component or product failures. Lastly, you will provide sales support and product application recommendations as needed, while also handling special projects as they arise.
