About the position

The Lead Cyber Architect - II will oversee the integration, management, and operation of the Cyber Program and its ranges. This role involves creating and maintaining network designs, integrating hardware and software, and ensuring compliance with Information Assurance requirements. The architect will also develop training scenarios, conduct training sessions, and manage multiple projects to align technical operations with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems integration work, system management, and configuration of the Cyber Program and its ranges.
  • Create, maintain, and update event network designs for training classes and cyber exercises.
  • Assist with Information Assurance (IA) requirements and develop range reset procedures.
  • Develop training scenarios to meet the needs of partners utilizing the Cyber Program.
  • Conduct training on the Cyber Program's range usage and configuration.
  • Manage multiple related projects to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience as a Cyber Subject Matter Expert (SME) or Cyber Architect.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the configuration and operation of cyber range or computer test bed environments.
  • Experience in designing and configuring computer networks including routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, active directory, VPNs, VLANs, SANs.
  • Experience with automation, provisioning, imaging, orchestration, and configuration management.
  • Proficiency in Ansible, Chef, Free and Open-source Ghost (FOG), Project, Python, and bash scripting.
  • Experience with Cloud, Physical, and virtual network architecture and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Experience with hypervisors such as VMware, KVM, and Xen.
  • Experience with Windows enterprise and Linux server/operating systems engineering and administration.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with camera systems, ICS/SCADA, Internet of Things (IoT), and RF devices.
