About the position

The Lead Cyber Project Engineer will be responsible for building, deploying, configuring, and maintaining cybersecurity infrastructure and applications in both on-premises and cloud environments. This role requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity solutions and the ability to implement them effectively to support customer business goals. The position demands strong technical expertise, particularly in network and endpoint security, and the ability to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, configure, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based cybersecurity infrastructure and applications.
• Engineer and implement cybersecurity solutions leveraging cloud services such as EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and RDS.
• Assist with research and implementation of enterprise-wide cybersecurity solutions to support customer business goals.
• Evaluate and recommend changes and technology upgrades to address performance and industry best practices.
• Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection and implementation techniques.
• Represent customer requirements in technical exchanges with government agencies.
• Develop and maintain architecture diagrams and a roadmap for capabilities and technologies.
• Assist with development and execution of test plans and documentation for network configuration upgrades.
• May serve as a team or task lead.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and external assessors for security assessments and authorization processes.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in Network Detection and Response (NDR), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs), and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
• Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure and security principles.
• Expertise in Windows and Linux server operating systems.
• Excellent writing and communication skills for developing analytical documents and presentations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• 6+ years of technical experience in network/cybersecurity engineering in large-scale enterprise/global networks.
• Demonstrated experience in modernizing complex enterprise cybersecurity systems.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
• Certified DoD 8140.01 and 8570.01-M IAT Level III and IASAE Level II.
