About the position

The Lead Cybersecurity position at AT&T focuses on managing and enhancing the encryption at rest and Secrets Management infrastructure. The role involves designing, engineering, and maintaining critical encryption environments, collaborating with application teams, and migrating applications to cloud-based encryption solutions. The successful candidate will contribute to cybersecurity projects, analyze security issues, and develop policies to mitigate risks, all while working in a supportive and innovative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow the AT&T encryption at rest and Secrets Management infrastructure.
• Design, engineer, and maintain the critical encryption at rest environment.
• Collaborate with AT&T application teams for onboarding and utilizing existing infrastructure.
• Support application teams using encryption tools and assist with any encountered problems.
• Migrate applications from premise-based encryption at rest to cloud-based solutions.
• Assess and evaluate next-generation data at rest encryption solutions.
• Conduct ideation, testing, proof of concept, and support for various cybersecurity projects.
• Analyze complex security issues and develop engineering activities to mitigate risks.
• Recommend hardware and software solutions to fit AT&T's cybersecurity needs.
• Develop policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion and malware events.
• Research and strategize to strengthen defenses against future cybersecurity threats.

Requirements

• 5+ years of strong security background in CyberSecurity with an emphasis on Encryption and CyberSecurity fundamentals.
• Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows System Admin functions.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Java, and shell scripting.
• Ability to communicate and document system issues clearly to vendor and internal teams.
• Experience with Public Cloud environments.

Nice-to-haves

• CISSP certification or similar certifications (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
• Experience with data at rest encryption products such as Thales.
• Knowledge of KeyFactor EJBCA, HashiCorp Vault, and Microsoft Purview.
