About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant in Consumer Lending as part of Cards & Merchant Services. This role focuses on enhancing data aggregation capabilities and transforming how data is utilized within the business. The consultant will collaborate with key stakeholders, technology, and data management teams to curate data for various use cases, leveraging strong problem-solving skills and analytics experience to manage multiple projects and ad-hoc requests.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Strong critical thinking skills to address credit-risk or operational challenges in financial services.
• Ability to lead and manage complex projects from ideation to completion while engaging stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment across all organizational levels.
• Knowledge of existing and emerging data platforms and analytic tools (e.g., Python, SQL, SAS, SSAS, PowerBI, Excel, PPT).
• Experience in storytelling with data for diverse audiences.
• Comfortable working independently and with some ambiguity.
• Prior Merchant Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics and complex data analysis.
• Provide influence and leadership in identifying new tools and methods to analyze data.
• Ensure compliance with legal regulations and policies on all managed projects.
• Give project updates, monthly budget forecasts, newsletters, and operations reviews.
• Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecasting future market research needs.
• Work closely with cross-functional Technology, Product, and Risk teams to drive impact on various initiatives.
• Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns, and external contractors.
