About the position

The Project Lead, Revenue Management Development is a key role within the Revenue Management Development and Systems team at Royal Caribbean Group. This position is responsible for overseeing data, decision tools, reporting, and information needs for the Revenue Planning and Revenue Management teams. The Project Lead will manage a significant forecast automation tool and serve as a subject matter expert, while also coaching and developing team analysts. The role requires strong project management skills and the ability to drive pricing and promotions solutions across global brands.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and supports Revenue Planning and Revenue Management data, systems, and user tools.
• Drives pricing and promotions solutions for all global brands, markets, and currencies.
• Fully owns and executes large projects, managing planning, requirements gathering, strategy, development, and delivery to teams and management.
• Serves as primary backup to management regarding projects, ad hoc requests, reporting, etc.
• Develops in-depth knowledge of department data, processes, and jobs across databases.
• Initiates improvements and developments of Revenue Planning and Revenue Management data processes to improve decision making across departments.
• Partners with Operations Research, Onboard Revenue, and Deployment teams to provide technical solutions.
• Develops new tools for Revenue teams by understanding the teams' challenges and finding creative solutions.
• Proactively conducts analyses of business data to present insights to the department.
• Leads and develops team members, guiding them in programming, development, and business analysis.
• Presents to and supports executives, regularly presenting recommendations and project updates to all levels of management.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field required.
• 4-6 years of work experience in a related field preferred.
• Ability to lead projects, coordinating business and technical needs, developing robust solutions, and conducting proper testing.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement applications using programming languages such as PL/SQL, Python, SAS, JAVA, and UNIX.
• Strong proficiency working with databases, including Oracle, Databricks, DB2, MySQL, SQL Server, Azure Synapse, ADF, AWS.
• Ability to interpret analytical results into meaningful business terms and translate business needs to programming and data processes.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a reality check reflex.
• Ability to manage multiple decision support applications and projects.
• Experience coaching and developing professional staff.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business and technical audiences.
