Apple is seeking a Lead Data Architect to join our Data Management Office as part of our Worldwide Sales organization. In this position, you will lead a team responsible for designing and influencing the development of a data architecture, including the vision, strategy, and principles for managing and interacting with governed data. You will partner cross-functionally to drive data resource development based on business needs and architecture principles to support a broad, cohesive strategy. In this role, you will collaborate with the Data Governance team to provide a standard common business vocabulary, express strategic data requirements, outline high-level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and align with enterprise strategy and related business architecture. You will define best practices, evangelize data solutions, and influence adoption while managing data as a critical asset across several business units. Your responsibilities will include defining a robust and scalable data architecture to manage data according to formal concepts, principles, and techniques within the governance platform. As the team grows, you will build a team of technical resources responsible for the details of data resource design, development, and delivery of managed data. You will provide encouragement and support to team members, including communicating individual and team goals, identifying areas for mentoring and guidance, and implementing development programs for the team to build vital skills and knowledge to achieve performance targets. You will facilitate cooperation and coordination between functional and technical resources, ensuring data assets are designed and developed from business needs, to logical design, to physical implementation. Additionally, you will collaborate with other IT teams for the design, development, and implementation of enterprise information data models, data flows, data life cycle, and overall data management leading practices in a complex environment.
