About the position

The Lead Data Architect works in all data environments which includes data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation. The Lead Data Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. This role is accountable for interpreting the Service business goals and drivers and translating business strategies and objectives into a data product. The Lead Data Architect will have shared accountability for assuring the quality of product strategy inputs and business requirements, functional design, and alignment to prioritized roadmap, in partnership with Product, Data Science, Reporting and IT teams. This individual supports projects or change initiatives by providing insights and required ad hoc analytics. Acting as the primary owner for solutions across EOE, the Lead Data Architect drives and influences the data strategy. The individual evaluates the reusability of current data for separate analyses and advises executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance. This role requires independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. The Lead Data Architect uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Responsibilities

  • Work in all data environments including data design, database architecture, metadata and repository creation.
  • Interpret Service business goals and drivers and translate business strategies into a data product.
  • Ensure quality of product strategy inputs and business requirements in partnership with Product, Data Science, Reporting and IT teams.
  • Support projects or change initiatives by providing insights and required ad hoc analytics.
  • Act as the primary owner for solutions across EOE driving and influencing data strategy.
  • Evaluate the reusability of current data for separate analyses.
  • Advise executives to develop functional strategies on significant matters.
  • Exercise independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • SAFe Agile certification.
  • Minimum 8 years of data analytics experience.
  • Experience in using statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on problems of diverse scope and complexity.
  • Experience working within the healthcare industry with an emphasis on insurance.
  • Experience in developing, maintaining, and collecting structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in creating reports, projections, and presentations to support business.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues.
  • Knowledge or experience working with customer-centric technologies (i.e. Genesys, Salesforce).
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience in large Enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with a data visualization solution such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Exposure to cloud data platforms: Snowflake, Azure, Event Driven Architecture.
