About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Architect to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our data management strategy. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data governance framework that ensures data quality, security, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for data management.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a centralized metadata catalog and dictionary to document data assets.
  • Define data access policies and classify assets based on sensitivity, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement data security, encryption, and access controls to protect sensitive data.
  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure data protection regulations are met.
  • Lead efforts to cleanse data, maintain accuracy, and implement quality control guidelines.
  • Develop and implement data quality metrics, monitoring, and audit processes.
  • Work closely with architects, development teams, and QA teams to ensure data lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience working as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Steward, or similar positions.
  • 5+ years of experience with data lake, Lambda architecture, and data architecture practice.
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling, SQL DBMS, and related tools.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance and data quality management.
  • Experience working with data management tools, data profiling tools, data quality tools, and data integration tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or certifications in data governance or data quality management.
