About the position

The Lead Data Architect at Humana is responsible for overseeing all data environments, including data design, database architecture, and metadata management. This role involves translating business strategies into data products, ensuring quality in product strategy inputs, and collaborating with various teams to support projects and analytics. The Lead Data Architect will also evaluate data reusability and advise executives on functional strategies, exercising independent judgment on complex issues.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee data design and database architecture across all data environments.
  • Translate business strategies and objectives into data products.
  • Ensure quality of product strategy inputs and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, Reporting, and IT teams.
  • Provide insights and ad hoc analytics for projects or change initiatives.
  • Act as the primary owner for solutions across EOE driving and influencing.
  • Evaluate the reusability of current data for separate analyses.
  • Advise executives on developing functional strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of data analytics experience.
  • Experience in using statistics, modeling, and business analysis to transform complex data into analytic solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in working on diverse problems of moderate to substantial complexity.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry with an emphasis on insurance.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to create reports, projections, and presentations to support business.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues.
  • Knowledge of customer-centric technologies (e.g., Genesys, Salesforce).
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
