About the position

The Data Governance Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data governance framework that ensures data quality, security, and compliance. This role is pivotal in shaping the data management strategy of the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish policies and standards that enhance data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance policies, procedures, and standards
• Develop and maintain a centralized metadata catalog and dictionary to document data assets
• Define data access policies and classify assets based on sensitivity, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements
• Implement data security, encryption, and access controls to protect sensitive data
• Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to ensure data protection regulations are met
• Lead efforts to cleanse data, maintain accuracy, and implement quality control guidelines
• Develop and implement data quality metrics, monitoring, and audit processes
• Work closely with architects, development teams, and QA teams to ensure data lifecycle management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience working as a Data Architect, Data Engineer, Data Steward, or similar positions
• 5+ years of experience with data lake, Lambda architecture, and data architecture practice
• 5+ years of experience in data modeling, SQL DBMS, and related tools
• 5+ years of experience in data governance and data quality management
• Experience working with data management tools, data profiling tools, data quality tools, and data integration tools

Nice-to-haves

• Certifications in Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or certifications in data governance or data quality management
