About the position

We are seeking a skilled Lead Data Center Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting the infrastructure of our data center, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience with various networking and telecommunications technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain low voltage cabling systems within the data center.
• Perform network installation tasks, including setting up LAN connections and VoIP systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain service quality.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support network infrastructure and ensure seamless telecommunication services.
• Conduct regular inspections of data center equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety compliance.
• Assist in the deployment of new technologies and upgrades as required.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and installations for future reference.

Requirements

• Proficient in low voltage cabling techniques and standards.
• Experience with VoIP systems and LAN configurations.
• Strong background in IT support or as a service technician.
• Knowledge of network installation processes and best practices.
• Familiarity with telecommunication systems, including Avaya products.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment repair.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks effectively.
