About the position

Helix Electric is seeking a State Certified Lead Journeyman Electrician to join their production-driven team. The role involves supervising a crew, performing electrical installations, and troubleshooting in various commercial settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that electrical work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget, while adhering to building codes and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a crew of 2-15 electricians.
• Perform assembly, installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
• Prepare work area for installation of equipment.
• Install electrical components and connect wiring as per code and job specifications.
• Operate equipment only if trained and certified to do so.
• Set up and operate tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, and cable vacuum systems.
• Read blueprints and electrical drawings to install as specified.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances per drawings or plans.
• Secure and lock up equipment after use.

Requirements

• State Journeyman Electrician Certification is required or highly desirable in states without this requirement.
• Proven experience as a lead electrician.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
