About the position

The Lead Data Engineer will play a crucial role in the Cloud Data Engineering/Revenue Management (CDRM) team, focusing on the development and operations of Revenue Management solutions on the Enterprise Data Lake. This position involves designing technical solutions that provide insights into the competitive landscape of rental products, defining technical direction and roadmaps for new applications, and providing technical leadership to a team of engineers. The role requires strong collaboration skills to work with various stakeholders and ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions that align with business needs and data strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Design technical solutions for Revenue Management applications on the Enterprise Data Lake.
  • Define technical direction and solution roadmaps for new applications in the Revenue Management domain.
  • Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers delivering new Data APIs, Structures, and Solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Data & Analytics, Data Science, Product, and IT Solution teams.
  • Translate business requirements into solutions that align with the overall Data Strategy vision.
  • Ensure solutions are designed with operational excellence and performance tuning in mind.
  • Stay informed of emerging technologies and their potential impact on solutions.
  • Define technical roadmaps and strategies to maintain alignment across IT and business customers.
  • Lead estimating efforts in project planning and provide technical leadership to project teams.
  • Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to support client solutions.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers in implementing data governance solutions.
  • Incorporate security and compliance into all decisions and ensure adherence to security policies.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • 8+ years of related experience providing technical guidance for solutions.
  • Experience leading other technical leaders.
  • Experience with Kong and building new API solutions.
  • Experience administering Cloud Data Resources, including Azure Data Factory and other Azure technologies.
  • Experience with cloud data management tools like Databricks.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala.
  • Experience building Data APIs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
