About the position

The Lead Data Engineer will play a crucial role in managing and mentoring the data platform team within a fast-growing global entertainment and technology company. This position focuses on developing and maintaining a robust data infrastructure that processes vast amounts of data daily, ensuring data security, governance, and performance. The role involves hands-on work with tools such as Python, SQL, and Snowflake, as well as overseeing ETL processes and data warehousing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the data platform team.
• Administer and manage Snowflake and other data infrastructure.
• Make key decisions regarding data security, governance, and performance.
• Develop and maintain automated data pipelines and data stores.
• Utilize Python, SQL, and DBT for ETL and data governance processes.

Requirements

• Proven technical leadership or management experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data infrastructure.
• Highly experienced in Python for ETL development.
• Familiar with ETL architecture and infrastructure tool Terraform.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL and data modeling tools.
• Experience developing automated data pipelines and data stores in Snowflake.
• Experience working with DBT and AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
