About the position

The Lead Data Engineer at BLEND360 is responsible for leading a team of Data Engineers to deliver exceptional data solutions for clients. This role involves hands-on technical work, including architecting, designing, implementing, and optimizing data solutions, while also managing and motivating the team. The position requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies and data engineering best practices, with a focus on delivering scalable and innovative data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Data Engineers to deliver exceptional results for clients.
• Architect, design, implement, and optimize data solutions alongside the team.
• Migrate and/or scale cloud data solutions.
• Build pipelines and scalable analytic tools using technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Spark, and Hadoop.
• Manage individuals during development cycles and drive the team forward.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Strong understanding of Python.
• Expert SQL skills and understanding of SQL warehouses.
• Strong experience in Hadoop and Pyspark.
• Deep understanding of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
• Excellent understanding of enterprise coding best practices and CI/CD practices.
• Expert level code architecture experience.
• Good understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Good people management and presentation skills.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems (Spark, Dask).
• Good understanding of cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, DynamoDB).
• Good planning abilities for project timeline estimates.
• Top tier Git practices with experience managing repositories with many contributors.
• Experience setting up code review frameworks.
• Appreciation for the AGILE methodology.
• Good understanding of API connectivity.
