This includes implementing data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets across the organization. In this role, the Lead Data Governance Analyst will ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, and establish robust data protection mechanisms. Collaboration is key, as the analyst will work closely with various business units, IT teams, and data owners to define data governance roles and responsibilities, fostering a culture of data ownership throughout the organization. The position also involves managing metadata repositories and establishing data lineage, dictionaries, and catalogs to enhance data accessibility and usability. The analyst will design and maintain a data governance framework that includes data classification, access controls, and lifecycle management. Additionally, the role requires appointing and training data stewards within the organization to monitor data quality and compliance effectively. The Lead Data Governance Analyst will evaluate, select, and implement data governance tools and platforms to streamline data management processes, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of data governance practices. Regular reporting on data governance performance and compliance to senior management will also be a critical aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with organizational objectives and industry best practices.
  • Implement data quality standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data assets.
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations, such as HIPAA or other relevant standards, and establish data protection mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and data owners to define data governance roles and responsibilities and foster a culture of data ownership.
  • Manage metadata repositories and establish data lineage, dictionaries, and catalogs.
  • Design and maintain a data governance framework, including data classification, access controls, and life cycle management.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Data Governance experience, including the ability to manage data catalogs, data dictionaries, and application of data governance principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Data Governance tools.
  • Strong Collibra experience including Data Catalog.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
