About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst to support and perform quality control activities aimed at mitigating risks associated with validation failures. The role involves designing complex analyses to identify and remediate data quality issues, implementing frameworks for reviewing supervisory program deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop data governance strategies. The analyst will also evaluate data quality metrics and enforce accountability for deliverables, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality issues.
  • Support the definition and implementation of a framework to review and validate supervisory program deliverables.
  • Leverage industry analysis and best practices to refine validation frameworks.
  • Act as an advisor in reviewing corrective action plans and remediation strategies.
  • Represent EDGR in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies.
  • Define and execute validation plans for supervisory deliverables, including issue summary memos.
  • Collaborate with use case owners to incorporate detailed requirements into validation plans.
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and audits, enforcing accountability for deliverables.
  • Define and implement metrics and reporting to highlight validation progress and quality of deliverables.
  • Train and support business groups in developing similar functions and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management.
  • 4+ years of experience with data testing and related audit methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of internal banking processes and audit methodology.
  • Ability to challenge business line controls and make improvement recommendations.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
