About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst to support quality control activities aimed at mitigating risks associated with validation failures. The role involves designing complex analyses to enhance data quality, implementing frameworks for supervisory program deliverables, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop data governance strategies. The analyst will also evaluate data quality metrics and enforce accountability for deliverables, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct highly complex analysis to identify and remediate data quality.
  • Support defining and implementation of a framework to review and validate supervisory program deliverables.
  • Act as an advisor by leading the review of corrective action plans and remediation strategies.
  • Represent EDGR in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies.
  • Define and execute validation plans for each supervisory deliverable, including issue summary memos.
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and audits, enforcing accountability for deliverables.
  • Define and implement metrics and reporting to highlight validation progress and quality of deliverables.
  • Train and support business groups in developing similar functions and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with data testing and/or related Audit methodologies.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in supporting development and execution of data testing approaches.
  • Good knowledge of internal banking processes.
  • Excellent understanding of audit methodology and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to effectively utilize process and business knowledge to challenge business line controls.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a problem-solving attitude and good analytical skills.
