About the position

The Lead Data Science Analyst in Credit Risk for Home Loans Servicing at Discover Financial Services is responsible for executing analytical initiatives that solve business problems through advanced analytics, including customer segmentation and machine learning. Responsibilities

• Work closely with management to execute analytical initiatives.
• Solve business problems using segmentation, optimization, advanced analytics, and machine learning.
• Create reports and dashboards to monitor performance metrics and provide insights.
• Manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues to management.
• Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics solutions.
• Operate as a subject matter expert on statistical analysis and modeling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business needs and complete end-to-end analysis.
• Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Establish and maintain effective performance tracking and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and automate reports and dashboards to provide insights at scale.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Marketing Analytics, or related fields.
