Primary Purpose: We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our team and play a key role in developing the next generation of AI and Machine Learning products for clinical research. You will be responsible for developing and building models and data pipelines to streamline the analysis of clinical data for Data Management, Pharmacovigilance, Medical Monitoring, Central Monitoring, RBQM and other functions in the clinical development life cycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including bioinformatics analysts, data managers, software engineers, therapeutical area leaders, and product managers, to bring complex analytical solutions to life and drive clinical insights through data products.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions, features and products for analyzing and interpreting clinical data
  • Develop automated workflows for data engineering and processing and analysis of clinical data using workflow management software
  • Integration of workflows with AWS Services such as AWS CLI, S3, Batch, and Cloud Watch
  • Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to extract meaningful insights from large-scale clinical datasets
  • Execute, troubleshoot, and benchmark data processing, analysis, and reporting workflows
  • Write well-documented computer code, conduct code reviews, and programming validation
  • Create hypotheses to test with clinical data sets and conduct independent research to generate meaningful impact to clinical research
  • Identify inconsistencies and initiate resolution of data, analytical, or reporting problems
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in related roles in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Clinical, Technology and/or Software Engineering industry
  • Subject matter expert in the latest data science, generative AI/LLM and other AI techniques, methods and solutions
  • Experience in effectively scaling data science models to products and bringing innovative solutions to production
  • Knowledge of clinical trial operations, data management, trial design and R D process
  • Demonstrated computer programming skills in Python or R for statistical programming
  • Experience using Version Control software (Git, SVN, or similar) to manage programming code
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, in both written and oral format
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a reputation for critical thinking and problem solving.
