About the position

The Lead Data Scientist at LexisNexis Legal & Professional is responsible for leading a team of junior data scientists, guiding their development, and executing complex data analysis projects. Responsibilities

  • Leading and conducting advanced data analysis to drive business insights and decision-making.
  • Developing and implementing machine learning algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • Building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for optimal data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis and interpretation of results to provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

Requirements

  • Have a master's or doctorate in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience.
  • Be a natural problem solver and able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues.
  • Have experience in leading complex projects and customer relationships.
  • Have substantial experience in a Data Scientist role.
  • Be adept at working in a dynamic, collaborative environment with a proficient problem-solving mindset.
  • Be proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
