About the position

The Lead Data Transformation Analyst plays a crucial role in analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to facilitate the extraction and loading of data between core systems. This position is responsible for transforming and migrating data from various sources, ensuring accurate and efficient conversion processes. The role requires a strong analytical mindset and proficiency in data manipulation tools, making it essential for supporting the organization's data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing data structures and formats from diverse sources.
  • Develop and implement strategies for data transformation and migration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure compatibility during conversions.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to report progress, challenges, and outcomes of data conversion activities.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to collect, clean, and validate data from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Support various departments, including marketing, finance, operations, and product development, in their analytical needs.
  • Utilize scripting languages and data manipulation tools to manipulate, clean, and validate data for conversion.
  • Monitor data quality and implement measures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Create and maintain documentation detailing conversion processes, transformations, and mappings.
  • Troubleshoot data conversion issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation to enhance data collection, analysis, and conversion efficiency.
  • Create interactive visualizations, reports, and dashboards to effectively communicate complex data findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-conversion validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data sets using statistical techniques and data visualization tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 6-8 years' experience in a related field, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Postgres SQL, Java, JavaScript, Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex data sets.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Domo, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and familiarity with machine learning concepts.
  • Solid understanding of database management principles and data manipulation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
