About the position

The Lead Data Visualization Architect will spearhead the design and enhancement of dashboard capabilities within the Actuarial Data Solutions team at Lincoln Financial Group. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to develop innovative data and analytics solutions that leverage cutting-edge tools to improve business insights and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand data & analytics needs
• Translate business requests into technical requirements
• Upskill team members with emerging technology tools
• Design solutions to enhance reporting and analytic capabilities
• Centralize and standardize data from various sources
• Demonstrate new capabilities of the solution with proof-of-concept builds
• Reimagine current state analytics with new insightful storyboards
• Enable team members to fully leverage data solutions and dashboard capabilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to iterate through various designs
• Increase transparency, efficiency, and governance of deliverables
• Maintain robust process and production documentation
• Document changes and follow change management procedures

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or Data Analytics or other quantitative major
• 5-7+ years of experience working with Finance and Insurance data
• Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, QuickSight

Nice-to-haves

• FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of actuarial experience
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
• Curiosity and demonstrated capability to quickly learn new concepts
• Self-starter, Innovative, Problem Solver
• Experience with Modern Data & Analytics Technology such as Dataiku, AWS, Spark, Alteryx
• Coding with SQL, Hive, Python/R, SAS, VBA, etc.
