About the position

Huntington Bank is seeking a Lead QA Test Analyst for its Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) team. This role focuses on ensuring data quality across the enterprise by developing test strategies and plans for Data Warehouse projects. The Lead QA Test Analyst will collaborate with various technology teams, execute test cases, and communicate project statuses to stakeholders, all while working in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the review of project requirements, data mappings, and technical design specifications.
• Create test strategies and test plans for Data Warehouse projects, ensuring proper test coverage.
• Execute test cases using manual and/or automated test processes.
• Execute database queries to support test execution in Azure DevOps.
• Perform ETL validation according to data mapping, execute data profiling, and reconciliation of data.
• Analyze data, troubleshoot data issues, and create action plans to address data quality issues.
• Coordinate test execution with other application teams and UAT partners.
• Create and communicate test status with project team members and stakeholders.
• Identify, document, and communicate testing defects.
• Collaborate with project team on defect analysis and triage.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying and solving opportunities to enhance QA processes.
• Perform functional, regression, negative, and migration testing for Data Warehouse projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of ETL testing experience in a data warehouse environment.
• 2+ years of experience with Snowflake and AWS Cloud.
• 5+ years of experience analyzing data, troubleshooting data issues, and creating action plans to address data quality issues.
• 5+ years of experience writing SQL queries.
• 2+ years experience leading QA Analysts on a project team.

• Understanding of enterprise data warehousing best practices and standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
• Experience in the financial services (banking) industry.
• Experience testing on Snowflake and AWS S3/EC2/EMR.
• Experience with data governance and data management approaches, including data quality.
• Experience with building data integrity controls using custom build or vendor packages (Infogix, Data360, etc).
