The Lead Database Administrator will be responsible for overseeing database operations and management, focusing on high-volume OLTP systems. This role requires extensive experience in both cloud and on-premises database environments, with a strong emphasis on performance tuning and troubleshooting. The position offers a hybrid work model based in either Fort Worth, Texas or Tempe, Arizona, allowing the candidate to work with advanced database technologies and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and optimize databases for high-volume OLTP systems.
• Oversee database operations and ensure performance tuning and rapid troubleshooting.
• Manage databases in both cloud and on-premises environments.
• Utilize Azure Data Factory, Analysis Services, and Microsoft Fabric for database management.
• Collaborate with teams to support data warehouse systems and MPP database architecture.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in database operations and management.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and performance tuning.
• Expertise in Azure Data Factory, Analysis Services, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong knowledge of data warehouse systems and MPP database architecture.
• Experience in architecture design and managing databases in cloud and on-premises environments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with PostgreSQL and Azure Synapse.
• Ability to commute to Fort Worth, TX.
• Willingness to relocate to Fort Worth, TX before starting work.
