Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, mission-oriented Lead Database Administrator in Springfield, VA. This role is crucial in providing unparalleled support to our customers and beginning an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. As a Lead Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining client and database platforms. You will maintain day-to-day operations and evaluate key business organizational challenges, directing the development of new or innovative solutions. Your role will involve managing database utilities and monitoring the relationship between database users and applications. You will also verify and validate scripts used for database upgrades and testing, utilizing test environments to evaluate proposed changes and patches. Additionally, you will maintain the organization's database across multiple platforms and computing environments, while also supervising and mentoring subordinate staff members.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy and maintain client and database platforms.
  • Maintain day-to-day operations and evaluate key business organizational challenges.
  • Direct the development of new or innovative solutions.
  • Manage database utilities and monitor the relationship between database users and applications.
  • Verify and validate scripts used for database upgrades and testing.
  • Utilize test environments to evaluate proposed changes and patches.
  • Maintain the organization's database across multiple platforms and computing environments.
  • Supervise and mentor subordinate staff members.

Requirements

  • Ten years of relevant experience supporting projects of similar size, scope and complexity.
  • Hands-on Database Analyst Lead with the ability to perform technical Database Analysis.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity, availability, and security of multiple SQL Servers.
  • Proficient in performing a wide range of server and database activities including maintaining, modifying, and providing quality assurance and testing of patches and planned upgrades.
  • Develop custom programs for websites that attract and appeal to users, providing desired information.
  • Thorough knowledge of programming and server software operations.
  • Create web front-end user interfaces to new or existing databases using a combination of HTML, SQL, C, VB or other languages.
