The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) is seeking a Lead Database Administrator to oversee the maintenance and management of all Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) within the organization. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient operation of databases that support the transit services provided to approximately 150,000-200,000 customers on a typical weekday. The Lead Database Administrator will supervise the allocation of disk resources for all database users and monitor the condition of databases, files, and disks, performing or overseeing maintenance as necessary. This position is not only technical but also involves promoting a safe and secure atmosphere, adhering to all safety and security rules, and performing other related duties as assigned. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the database systems are running optimally and securely, which is essential for the RTA's mission of connecting the community through reliable transportation services. The Lead Database Administrator will work predominantly in an office environment, requiring a focus on detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
