About the position

The Demand Planner role at GlobalFoundries is essential for executing a new Forecasting and Demand Planning process. This position is part of a new team within a leading semiconductor foundry, focusing on driving results through statistical forecasting and demand analysis. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to optimize demand planning and enhance customer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Generate, validate, and adjust statistical models using best-fit forecasting algorithms.
  • Support the Consensus Demand Planning process by providing statistical forecasts and insights.
  • Analyze statistical demand forecasts and compute forecast accuracy metrics to make recommendations.
  • Partner with Sales to align on the consensus demand plan and build trusted customer relationships.
  • Maintain and modify demand driver inputs based on information from customer business managers.
  • Analyze accuracy of demand driver inputs and provide recommendations based on historical data.
  • Recommend changes to statistical forecasting models to optimize accuracy and reduce bias.
  • Work with customer business managers to create and model demand scenarios for collaboration meetings.
  • Configure dashboards and maintain reports to provide real-time insights on forecast performance metrics.
  • Interface with customer business managers to resolve demand gaps and shape demand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • 6-7 years minimum experience in forecasting, demand planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Strong business acumen and end market knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders and collaborate with customers.
  • Strong analytical and modeling skills with hands-on experience with forecasting and planning tools (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, Logility).
  • Strong knowledge and experience with MS Excel.

  • Experience in R programming.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work across multiple functional teams, collaborating with Planning, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain stakeholders.
