About the position

The Lead Demand/Supply Chain Analyst position within the Department of Defense is responsible for conducting expert analysis of demand and supply chain performance issues. This role involves coordinating with various functional process analysts and specialists to identify areas for improvement, investigating the effectiveness of supply chain activities, and implementing corrective actions for complex process problems. The analyst will prepare briefing materials, conduct presentations for management, and lead teams to enhance overall supply chain results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct expert analysis of demand/supply chain performance issues.
• Coordinate with functional process analysts and subject-matter specialists.
• Identify areas for senior management to allocate more time and resources.
• Investigate and evaluate the effectiveness of supply chain activities.
• Develop and implement corrective actions for complex process problems.
• Prepare correspondence and briefing materials.
• Conduct briefings for management officials and explain proposals and findings.
• Serve as a team lead responsible for decision-making to improve supply chain outcomes.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in demand/supply chain applications such as SAP, JDA, COPA, NDMS, SAS, and DSS.
• Experience with Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) related to functional processes.
• Knowledge of organizational Key Performance Indicators such as Material Availability and Order Response Time.
• Ability to analyze demand and supply chain data and recommend process improvements.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with DoD Acquisition Life Cycle Logistics certification.
• Familiarity with Continuous Learning Points (CLPs) requirements.
