About the position

The Lead Designer for Women's Golf & Tennis Apparel Graphic Design at NIKE, Inc. is responsible for creating seasonal design concepts that elevate the athlete experience in tennis and golf. This role combines creativity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of design trends to produce innovative apparel that meets the needs of athletes and reflects the brand's ethos. The designer will work closely with various teams to bring concepts to life, ensuring that designs are not only visually appealing but also functional and aligned with Nike's mission to inspire and innovate.

Responsibilities

  • Concepting, sketching, and presenting innovative Nike designs for women's golf and tennis apparel.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate design ideas into physical products.
  • Working with development and business partners to refine designs, including selecting trims and print applications.
  • Creating narratives and visuals for tennis and golf collections that resonate with athletes.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and ensuring design feasibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic or Apparel Design.
  • 5 years or more of graphic design experience in an agency or in-house setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture.
  • Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling.
  • Proficient understanding of typography design and trends.
  • Strong visual and verbal communication skills for presenting design intent.
  • Proficient in sketching, illustration, print and pattern, color theory, and layout.
  • Experience with graphic applications, development, PR, and schematic tools in apparel product creation processes.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud and comfortable with new digital spaces.
