Responsibilities

  • Build user-friendly platforms and tools for rapid, consistent, and secure service provisioning.
  • Implement cloud-native site reliability best practices.
  • Write clear, maintainable, and performant code.
  • Debug cloud-native distributed systems.
  • Educate and influence the engineering organization on new architectural patterns.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation for self-service.
  • Innovate, solve complex issues and enhance system scalability and security.
  • Deploy, automate, maintain, and improve backend infrastructure.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance continuous integration infrastructure and services.
  • Review code and share best practices within the team.
  • Participate in on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of DevOps experience
  • BS in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (Python, Java)
  • Experience in Unix/Linux systems administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience in developing flexible, robust, and testable Infrastructure as Code modules
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms for automating infrastructure, builds, tests, and releases
  • Familiarity with observability tools (APM, logging, metrics)
  • Experience designing operational management tools for SaaS/PaaS systems
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE)
  • Experience in deploying and managing highly available multi-zone Kafka, Elasticsearch, and MongoDB clusters in large-scale production environments
  • Experience with FedRamp projects
