Lead DevOps Engineer

About the position

Cognizant is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with over 10 years of experience in DevOps or a similar software engineering role, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have experience with embedded systems build and development processes, and must demonstrate a high attention to detail, independent thinking, and proactive problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of DevOps or software engineers.
• Oversee the embedded systems build and development process.
• Ensure high attention to detail in all tasks.
• Work independently to solve problems.
• Proactively seek out issues and implement solutions.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in System Engineering and Administration: Linux and Windows.
• Experience with scripting languages: Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with Version Control/Repository Management tools: Git, GitHub, or GitLab.
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Circle-CI.
• Knowledge of Observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch, or Lens.
• Experience with log management tools: Elastic Stack, Grafana Loki, or FluentD.
• Familiarity with Configuration Management tools: Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms: GCP, AWS, or Azure.
