About the position
The Lead DevSecOps/Cloud Engineer is responsible for leading the transformation of legacy processes and implementing new methodologies with a strong focus on cloud capabilities. This role emphasizes the development and deployment of microservices, ensuring a seamless release lifecycle across various environments. The engineer will coordinate development and testing activities, fostering self-service capabilities for developers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the re-engineering of legacy processes and implement new methodologies.
- Coordinate all aspects of the release lifecycle including development, testing, and deployment.
- Create self-service capabilities for developers to manage microservices.
- Implement test and deployment automation strategies.
- Assess and review existing application architecture, providing insights and recommendations.
- Manage cloud and data center administration, particularly with public cloud providers like AWS.
- Utilize various DevSecOps tools and environments for configuration, source control, and automation.
- Implement DevSecOps processes such as Green/Blue deployments and Canary releases.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience as a DevSecOps/Cloud Engineer.
- Master's degree or PhD in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Programming.
- Experience with test and deployment automation strategies.
- Experience in cloud/data center administration, especially with public cloud providers.
- Knowledge of common cloud and DevSecOps tools and environments.
- Experience implementing DevSecOps processes and architecture best practices.
- Strong scripting and deployment automation skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of IT operations best practices.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience developing code in at least one high-level programming language.
- Knowledge of ICD 503 requirements for secure information systems.
