About the position

The Lead Developer Business Intelligence at JetBlue Airways Corporation is responsible for creating impactful data visualizations and dashboards that facilitate data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role involves the analysis, design, and development of enterprise dashboards and reports, primarily using Tableau and data warehousing technologies. The position also includes administering the Tableau Online environment and evaluating new technologies for potential enterprise adoption.

Responsibilities

• Create compelling and action-oriented data visualizations and dashboards to promote data-driven decision making at JetBlue.
• Focus on analysis, design, and development of enterprise dashboards and reports using technologies including Tableau and data warehouses.
• Develop and design high-quality dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into thoughtful data visualizations and designs.
• Administer and support Tableau Online environment.
• Evaluate new technologies in the business intelligence stack and make recommendations on potential enterprise adoption.
• Recommend changes to enterprise data models to better serve business intelligence needs.
• Define, design, document and socialize BI best practices across the company.
• Provide data visualization support to users across the company.
• Responsible for documenting report architecture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Technology, or in a closely related field followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Spotfire OR Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Technology or in a closely related field and 1 year of experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or Spotfire.
• 1 year of experience translating business requirements into visualization concepts.
• Demonstrated knowledge of business objectives and process.
• Knowledge of enterprise business intelligence.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Experience in data engineering.
• Familiarity with cloud data warehousing.
