About the position

As a Front End Lead Developer at ePayPolicy, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers to design and develop scalable and maintainable solutions for complex financial systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and plan software projects, all while ensuring high-quality code delivery and adherence to best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and plan software projects.
  • Design and architect scalable solutions using Microsoft technologies.
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices for the engineering team.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Remain hands-on in your contributions by developing high-quality, clean, and efficient code.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft technologies, tools, and frameworks, and proactively suggest their adoption where applicable.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in front-end software development and design.
  • At least two years of Payment Processing, InsurTech, and Premium Financing software experience.
  • Strong proficiency in web development technologies such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (vite and React in particular).
  • Ownership of the front-end strategy, and ability to maintain front-end code consistency across several development teams.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and best practices leveraging things like dependency injection, RESTful APIs, MVC, and Entity Framework.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards achieving technical excellence.
  • Proven experience managing several complex projects running concurrently.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and effective solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Front-end subject matter expert.
  • Ability to identify and suggest opportunities for architectural improvements (such as upgrading Webpack to vite).
