About the position

As a Lead Developer at WSB LLC, you will manage an agile development team responsible for building, maintaining, and updating web applications that enhance company operations and deliver data to clients. This role involves providing technical leadership, guiding developers in implementing strategic procedures, and ensuring the effective maintenance of existing solutions while preparing for future upgrades. You will collaborate closely with leadership on strategy and execution of web application initiatives, manage team processes, and mentor staff to foster skill growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of web applications using a variety of technologies.
• Lead a collaborative agile team environment.
• Utilize open-source software development kits and APIs to develop application solutions.
• Research, design, and develop complex enterprise-level web applications built on relational databases.
• Manage software code review, versioning, and deployment processes.
• Transform complex customer requirements into functional and sustainable solutions.
• Lead direction of and support CI/CD pipeline process and maintenance.
• Ensure team performs root cause analysis to ensure proper action and support continuous improvement.
• Adapt off-the-shelf solutions to meet customer needs and requirements.
• Administer relational and non-relational databases and backup procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Technical science (e.g. Engineering) or equivalent.
• 5 or more years' experience developing software in an Agile, team-based environment.
• 3 or more years as development team lead.
• Demonstrated experience in Cloud native AWS technologies.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying software in a cloud environment - AWS preferred.
• Familiarity with DevOps concepts leveraging CI/CD tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree preferred but not required.
• Experience with data-driven applications.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodology, processes, and techniques.
• Excellent organization, communication, and writing skills.
