About the position

The Senior DevSecOps Consultant role focuses on leveraging AWS and EKS to enhance cloud migration and DevSecOps practices for clients. This position requires extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in cloud environments, and involves tool selection, implementation, and automation to improve the efficiency and security of development processes.

Responsibilities

• Execute full life cycle activities in support of multiple DevSecOps tools.
• Work directly with architects, principal and lead engineers, and other team members on design and implementation tasks.
• Plan and build roadmaps for the EKS and AWS DevOps implementation.
• Build applications following EKS and AWS best practices.
• Accountable for meeting project milestones.
• Conduct code reviews, unit and integration testing.
• Document system design and unit testing information.
• Automate manual steps in the DevSecOps process.
• Perform AWS and EKS operations.
• Build the agreed-upon application that leverages EKS and CloudNative concepts and implement it in production.
• Retrospect on the current implementation and document for future use.
• Administer AWS console where Cloudbees Agent exists on the EC2 instance.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of software engineering experience.
• 5 years of experience in cloud environments, specifically AWS.
• Hands-on experience with EKS and AWS.
• Proficient in Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Cloudbees, BitBucket, Sonar, Artifactory, and CloudNative practices.
• Strong knowledge of development and testing best DevSecOps practices.
• Outstanding knowledge in Continuous Integration (CI), Testing (CT), Security, and Deployment (CD) concepts.
• Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience in Linux and Windows administration.
