We are seeking a full-time Lead Digital Governance Analyst in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and/or executing very large, complex initiatives of average to significant complexity in support of Garmin's digital governance and regulatory compliance programs. The focus will be on creating, maintaining, enforcing, or assisting other departments in complying with controls, policies, standards, and procedures. This position requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to navigate complex governance frameworks effectively. As a Lead Digital Governance Analyst, you will define, coordinate, and oversee governance and compliance programs and initiatives in areas such as artificial intelligence and content moderation. You will leverage your mastery of concepts, standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements to perform risk assessments on Garmin's global processes, systems, and applications. This involves evaluating the risk of harm to Garmin and applicable data subjects, as well as the effectiveness of mitigation plans to address those risks. You will also compile and publish information required for transparency or similar regulatory reporting. In this role, you will independently collaborate with and advise teams throughout Garmin, guiding them through governance processes, completing risk assessments, and incorporating program requirements into the design of products, apps, and services. You will advise product development teams on program requirements and best practices, participate in gap assessments, and develop compliance plans for new regulations. Additionally, you will coordinate and perform due diligence activities related to any new or existing Garmin business acquisition, merger, divestiture, or third-party contract. Your responsibilities will also include responding to inquiries from individuals and regulators at the direction of program leaders or executive sponsors, designing and implementing policies, standards, procedures, and training to support compliance with current international, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements. You will develop and cultivate relationships with Garmin leaders across various departments and segments, including legal, sales, marketing, engineering, IT, and operations. Furthermore, you will deliver program project status and summary information to all levels of the business, including executive levels, and provide guidance and direction to junior associates in their personal and professional development. Utilizing sound project and program management methodologies, you will enable project delivery while exercising considerable discretion and judgment in a self-directed manner. You will support, motivate, and drive accountability for team members and peers by actively seeking and providing feedback, building networks, and sharing successes, tools, and knowledge. This role also emphasizes the importance of ongoing personal development, professional growth, and continuing education.
