About the position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager to support the Channel Foundations team, which is part of the Strategy, Digital, and Innovation (SDI) and Commercial Banking / Corporate Investment Banking (CB/CIB). This role is pivotal in leading the development and execution of complex digital business plans, programs, and initiatives that have a broad impact across the enterprise. The Lead Digital Product Manager will act as a key participant in large-scale planning, reviewing and analyzing complex digital strategies for product functionality and experience areas. This position requires a strong understanding of the business, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to influence digital strategy effectively. In this role, you will lead a broad team of digital professionals to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives. You will strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals. The position also involves potentially leading projects, teams, or serving as a peer mentor. Knowledge of APIs, API Architecture, API Governance, API Discovery, definition, build, and integration is necessary to succeed in this role. The investments made by the SDI team aim to create innovative digital banking experiences and make it easier for customers to achieve their financial goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of complex digital business plans, programs, and initiatives with enterprise-wide impact.
  • Act as a key participant in large-scale planning efforts.
  • Review and analyze complex digital strategies for product functionality and experience areas.
  • Influence digital strategy for the business line through in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
  • Make decisions in digital strategy requiring a strong understanding of business policies and compliance requirements.
  • Lead a team of digital professionals to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers and senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Potentially lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of digital product management experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3+ years of experience in Product Management, Architecture, Product Development, Strategy Planning, Process Management, or Change Delivery.
  • Knowledge and understanding of API Architecture, discovery, definition, SDLC, governance, monitoring, and analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in setting a product strategy, roadmap, and meeting product targets.
  • Understanding of API and the API Lifecycle, including versioning.
  • Product Management or Product Owner experience; prior technical experience as an Architect or Engineer is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and experience documenting APIs and writing user stories in an Agile framework.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and exercise independent judgment.
