About the position

As a Lead Digital Product Manager at UnitedHealth Group, you will drive the development and enhancement of digital products that improve health outcomes for millions. This role involves leading a team of product managers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and defining product strategy to ensure successful execution of the digital roadmap. You will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from strategy and design to production release, while leveraging market research to identify consumer trends and opportunities for innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the strategic vision for the digital product portfolio, aligning it with business goals and customer needs.
  • Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap, prioritizing features based on customer feedback and market research.
  • Identify potential new clients and understand their specific environment and use cases.
  • Pursue strategic partnerships to expand market presence.
  • Develop compelling product positioning and messaging for clients.
  • Oversee the creation of sales enablement materials such as pitch decks and product demos.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment on product initiatives.
  • Gather and prioritize product requirements with stakeholders to align with business goals.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Establish and manage a feedback loop with clients to gather insights on product usage and satisfaction.
  • Build productive stakeholder relationships across the organization to drive opportunities.
  • Manage budget and resource allocation effectively.
  • Identify risks and develop communication strategies and contingency plans.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Experience driving innovation and staying ahead of trends.
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and product management best practices.
  • Proven track record of leading product teams and delivering digital products that meet customer needs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to translate market insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills to inspire and empower team members.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Rally or Jira agile tools.
  • Experience with Adobe Analytics.
  • Familiarity with modern database and reporting technologies (e.g., Tableau, SQL).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, PPT).
