About the position

The Hired Guns are seeking a Lead Digital Product Manager for Textiles E-Commerce to tackle the unique challenge of enhancing the online shopping experience for products that are traditionally difficult to sell online, such as linens, towels, and other textiles. This role is focused on owning the digital shopping experience rather than the design and development of textile products themselves. The organization is a well-known retail brand that has successfully established a strong brick-and-mortar presence and is now looking to expand its digital commerce capabilities. The challenge lies in transitioning from selling products that do not require tactile interaction, like books and toys, to selling high-touch items that customers typically prefer to see and feel in person. As the Lead Digital Product Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of digital initiatives related to all bed, bath, kitchen, and home textiles. This includes addressing challenges in interaction design, merchandising, content, logistics, and more, while collaborating closely with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders. You will oversee the entire line of business, from the top of the funnel through conversion and post-purchase transactions. Your role will involve developing and owning the digital innovation roadmap, creating business cases, and successfully pitching them to leadership. You will also need to anticipate potential problems and identify emerging trends to elevate the digital retail experience from ordinary to extraordinary.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of digital initiatives for textiles e-commerce.
  • Develop and own the digital innovation roadmap for the textiles category.
  • Create and pitch business cases to leadership for new digital initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address challenges in interaction design, merchandising, content, and logistics.
  • Oversee the entire line of business from top of the funnel through conversion and post-purchase transactions.
  • Identify and analyze trends and potential problems in the digital retail space.
  • Drive strategy and execution of complex digital products.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of significant experience in building large e-commerce digital experiences with end-to-end ownership.
  • Proven track record of owning strategy and execution of complex digital products.
  • E-commerce experience is essential; in-store experience is a significant plus.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and the ability to think like a product manager.
  • Ability to thrive in complex and creative environments, managing a degree of creative chaos.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven decision-making approach.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in merchandising or related fields that complement product management.
  • Familiarity with the textiles industry and consumer behavior related to high-touch products.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to take a leadership role in a pioneering area of digital commerce.
  • Join a diverse product dream team in a startup-style culture.
  • Work on solving long-standing industry challenges in e-commerce.
