About the position

The Lead Director, Strategic Marketing at CVS Health is responsible for developing a team to establish marketing strategies across various business areas, particularly focusing on Medicaid. This role involves aligning the Strategic Marketing department's policies and procedures with organizational goals, administering integrated marketing campaigns, and managing operational aspects such as budget and performance. The position emphasizes a human-centric approach to healthcare, aiming to innovate and deliver solutions that make healthcare more personal, convenient, and affordable.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to planning and administration of company programs and initiatives that promote the Strategic Marketing area's agenda.
  • Implement organizational policies, goals, and objectives based on best practices in the field.
  • Deliver analysis of market drivers, changes, and competition to inform decision making.
  • Advise management on recommendations related to creation, change, or abandonment of a region, product, or marketing program.
  • Develop methodology to evaluate marketing opportunities and threats.
  • Contribute to planning marketing priorities and resource allocations for geographic markets, market segments, products, and programs.
  • Communicate strategically with internal and external marketing agencies to implement marketing programs.
  • Manage operational aspects of the team (e.g., budget, performance, and compliance), and implement workforce and succession plans to meet business needs.

Requirements

  • Experience creating marketing documents
  • Experience creating documents to inform professional audiences (preferably clinical audiences)
  • 3 plus years experience developing and implementing successful strategic marketing plans
  • Development of messaging and marketing content experience
  • Experience with oversight and outcomes driven marketing reporting
  • 2 years experience with community based marketing/advertising

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Medicaid audiences
