About the position

The position involves coordinating and facilitating educational programs and initiatives at the University of Oklahoma. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of various skill areas to integrate elements from different specialties into program development. The individual will work with minimal supervision on complex assignments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders while overseeing program operations and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and facilitates programs.
  • Assists with developing training materials for facilitators.
  • Participates in the development, scheduling, and implementation of marketing and enrollment plans.
  • Assists with the development of marketing strategies to promote programs.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with various external businesses, organizations, schools, etc.
  • Keeps stakeholders informed of programs and addresses any questions/concerns.
  • Compiles and prepares periodic reports.
  • Evaluates program budgets/income.
  • Assists with the recruitment of student interns/counselors.
  • Responsible for program oversight when Supervisor is off-site.
  • Coaches and mentors lower-level staff.
  • Delegates work and oversees task completion.
  • Assists in developing operational goals, objectives, and standards for unit, programs, and projects.
  • Coordinates with appropriate University offices to ensure timely publication and dissemination of materials.
  • Assists with the maintenance, security, and disposition of confidential records.
  • Attends partner/stakeholder meetings.
  • Plans for and assists with new employee, student, and/or client orientation.
  • Creates reports and program documentation.
  • Oversees the completion of routine program maintenance activities.
  • Recommends innovative plans for design or quality improvement of unit programs/procedures.
  • Participates in or leads committees.
  • May lead internal project team.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, education, health, or related field.
  • 36 months of administrative or program coordination experience.
  • Experience or a combination of education & related experience can be considered in lieu of degree.
