About The Position
Our client is seeking experienced engineering professionals in the field of Electrical Engineering to lead engineering services for a variety of energy infrastructure projects. This work involves overall system planning as well as improvements to existing facilities. The successful candidate will act as an engineering lead on projects involving medium and low voltage power systems, grounding, lighting, instrumentation, and control systems. This role requires a strong focus on client satisfaction and the ability to build enduring relationships with clients and project team members. In this position, you will support client-focused activities such as business development and proposal preparation. You will also be responsible for developing and mentoring junior engineering and design staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles. Your technical expertise will be crucial in preparing data sheets and specifications for electrical equipment, including power distribution centers (PDC), switchgear, transformers, motor control centers (MCC), variable frequency drives (VFD), starters, and control panels. Additionally, you will perform essential electrical calculations such as short circuit analysis, load flow, motor starting, relay coordination, and arc flash studies using ETAP or SKM software. Quality Assurance and Quality Control for other engineers' work products will also be part of your responsibilities. You will participate in startup, performance testing, and troubleshooting, as well as planning, cost control, and scheduling for assigned projects. Developing and reviewing Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates will be another key aspect of your role. Effective communication and relationship management with project team members and clients are vital, as you will be committed to building enduring relationships that lead to customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will also prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate vendor quotations, and conduct Technical Bid Analysis. Reviewing vendor documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations will be part of your daily tasks.
