About the position

In this role, you will leverage your engineering expertise to initiate, design, develop, optimize, and problem-solve manufacturing and supporting processes. You will be recognized for your understanding of technology applications and your ability to interface effectively with team members. Your responsibilities will include identifying and resolving process and equipment issues, initiating creative and practical designs that meet expectations, and applying engineering standards and procedures to document your work for easy retrieval. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be tasked with developing knowledge and skills to be recognized as an implementer of engineering principles and scientific analysis to meet unit objectives. Safety is a core value at Kimberly-Clark, and you will support the implementation of loss control improvement processes by adhering to critical safety rules and maintaining a safe workplace. You will also be responsible for developing equipment, processes, and products that comply with safety codes and guidelines, actively participating in achieving organizational and personal safety objectives. In addition to technical responsibilities, you will lead assigned projects and tasks to meet unit objectives while ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Effective communication is essential, and you will need to keep superiors, subordinates, and other stakeholders informed in a timely and concise manner. You will also play a role in human resources development by assisting in the growth of others in your area of expertise, fostering an environment of respect and motivation among team members. Responsibilities

  • Initiate, design, develop, and optimize manufacturing assets and supporting processes.
  • Identify and resolve process and equipment problems.
  • Implement engineering and scientific analysis principles to meet unit objectives.
  • Support the implementation of safety procedures and maintain a safe workplace.
  • Communicate effectively with superiors, subordinates, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead assigned projects/tasks to meet unit objectives within corporate policies.
  • Assist in the development of others in the area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a variety of technical or operational assignments.
  • Experience with manufacturing control systems, such as PLCs, variable speed motor drives, HMI, distributed control systems, instrumentation, and power distribution.
  • Demonstrated personal sensitivity and competency in design and/or use of engineering/scientific analysis systems/tools.
