As a Lead Electrical Engineer at Sargent & Lundy, you will be at the forefront of exciting and challenging projects that involve investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving a diverse range of electrical engineering issues. Your role will be pivotal in supporting both single and multi-discipline projects, ensuring that all engineering deliverables meet the highest standards of technical quality, financial accountability, and project control expectations. You will lead a team of engineers, guiding them through the complexities of electrical engineering tasks while fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence. Your responsibilities will encompass initiating and conveying the scope of work to your team members, defining deliverables such as calculations, specifications, and drawings, and reviewing the status of ongoing projects. You will be responsible for tracking progress, maintaining project scope and budget, and keeping clients informed through routine status meetings and progress reports. Additionally, you will coordinate the completion of project deliverables, ensuring that all aspects of electrical engineering work are executed efficiently and effectively. In this leadership role, you will also develop project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear power plants. Your expertise will be crucial in providing technical oversight for all electrical engineering activities, including the preparation of engineering design change packages, conducting engineering calculations, and developing equipment procurement specifications. You will interface directly with clients to validate project scope and ensure their satisfaction, while also mentoring and guiding the development of your team members. Your ability to identify client needs and leverage strong relationships will be key in developing follow-on work from existing clients, as well as preparing and coordinating multi-discipline proposals. This position is based on a hybrid work schedule, requiring in-office work three days per week, allowing for a balance between collaborative team efforts and independent work.
