About the position

The Lead Electrician position is a critical role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects in the commercial and industrial sectors. This position requires a strong leader who can ensure safe installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment. The Lead Electrician will be accountable for the leadership, management, and supervision of projects, ensuring that all work is performed in strict accordance with applicable codes and standards. In this role, you will be expected to install, maintain, repair, or replace electrical equipment and systems, utilizing both standard and specialty electrical test equipment to ensure safety and efficiency. You will also be responsible for training and in-servicing employees on equipment usage and methods as necessary. The Lead Electrician will work closely with other team members to troubleshoot and maintain routine electrical systems and equipment, ensuring that all installations meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, repair, or replace electrical equipment and systems in strict accordance with applicable codes and standards
  • Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency using standard and specialty electrical test equipment
  • Repair, install, replace and test electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using hand tools and testing instruments
  • Repair and maintain equipment in a skilled trade area
  • Train/in-service employees on equipment usage and methods as necessary
  • Repair, construct, install, troubleshoot, and maintain routine electrical systems and equipment
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as injection molding machines, robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers
  • Install electrical and security infrastructure materials and equipment necessary to complete the job
  • Install conduit (RGS & EMT), cable raceways, equipment enclosures, and required wire/cabling
  • Use equipment for testing continuity of copper conductors

Requirements

  • Four or more years of lead foreman experience and meets position requirements
  • High level interpersonal relationship skills
  • Proficiency in communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel)
