About the position

The Lead Electronic Security Technician - Service is responsible for managing service tickets related to security system issues, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining security systems to ensure optimal performance. This role includes after-hours on-call duties approximately 6-8 weeks per year, requiring a proactive approach to customer service and technical problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and address customer service tickets promptly
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with complex security systems
• Replace malfunctioning devices as needed
• Program electronic security devices
• Perform maintenance activities to ensure security systems remain functional
• Read and interpret scopes of work and technical drawings
• Travel regularly to regional jobsites
• Participate in manufacturer training to enhance skills

Requirements

• Minimum of five years' experience in security, video surveillance, access control, and/or intrusion systems
• IT networking experience
• Low voltage electrical systems knowledge
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Good written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with hand and power tools
• Must adhere to all company rules and policies
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• Ability to work independently
• Flexibility to work extended/on-call hours as needed
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience/certifications in Genetec, Lenel, Bosch, Exacq, or Hanwha
• Experience at commercial/industrial facilities
• Experience in working at construction sites
